Job Description:

VSSC - ISRO is hiring Apprentice Trainees

Selection Drive for Apprentice Trainees (B.E/B.Tech./Hotel Management/Non-Engineering Graduates & Diploma in Engineering/Diploma in Commercial Practice) for 2024-2025.

Applications are invited from candidates for selection as Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act, 1961, at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) for the training year 2024-2025.

Apprenticeship Duration:

• The duration of training will be one year from the date of joining, and the stipend is ₹9,000/- for Graduate Apprentices and ₹8,000/- for Technician Apprentices per month.

Apprenticeship Positions:

a) Graduate Apprentice: Stipend ₹9,000/-

1. Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering: 15 positions
2. Chemical Engineering: 10 positions
3. Civil Engineering: 12 positions
4. Computer Science/Engineering: 20 positions
5. Electrical Engineering: 12 positions
6. Electronics Engineering: 43 positions
7. Mechanical Engineering: 45 positions
8. Metallurgy: 06 positions
9. Production Engineering: 04 positions
10. Fire & Safety Engineering: 02 positions
11. Hotel Management/Catering Technology: 04 positions
12. General Stream (Non Engineering) Graduates: 100 positions

b) Technician Apprentice: Stipend ₹8,000/-

1. Automobile Engineering: 08 positions
2. Chemical Engineering: 25 positions
3. Civil Engineering: 08 positions
4. Computer Science Engineering: 15 positions
5. Electrical Engineering: 10 positions
6. Electronics Engineering: 40 positions
7. Instrument Technology: 06 positions
8. Mechanical Engineering: 50 positions

How to Apply:

Interested candidates may participate in the Selection Drive proposed to be conducted at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram, as per the following schedule:

Selection Drive Details:

• Date: 28.10.2024, Monday
   
• Venue:
  VSSC Guest House, ATF Area
  Veli, Near Veli Church
  Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala
   
• Time: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm

Applications Submission:

• Applications will be received only on the day of the selection drive, i.e., 28.10.2024.
• No other modes of application will be accepted.

NATS Portal Registration:

• Candidates must register online through the Ministry of Education NATS 2.0 portal at: https://nats.education.gov.in

Documents Bring For The Selection Drive:

Candidates must carry both original & self-attested copies of the following documents to the VSSC pavilion on 28.10.2024:

• B.E./B.Tech/Bachelor in Hotel Management/Non-Engineering Graduation/Diploma Certificates (Provisional/Final).
• Consolidated mark list.
• Proof of Date of Birth (SSLC/SSC/AISSE/ICSE).
• Caste/Community certificate (if SC/ST).
• Non-Creamy layer certificate (if OBC).
• Income & Asset Certificate issued by Tahsildar (if EWS).
• Disability certificate (if PwBD).
• Experience certificate (if any).
• One passport-size photograph.

Selection Process:

1. Merit-Based Selection:
   The selection will be based on the highest marks obtained by candidates in the relevant examination, with due consideration for reservation categories.

2. Panel-Based Induction:
   Induction of apprentices for the 2024-25 training positions will be strictly based on the candidate's position in the panel, subject to vacancy availability and panel validity.
