Union Bank of India has 1,865 Apprenticeship Vacancies

Union Bank of India invites applications for 1,865 Apprentice seats across India for graduates aged 20-28.

Key Information:

• Post Name: Apprentice (Under Apprentice Act, 1961)

• Total Vacancies: 1,865 Seats (Provisional)

• Job Type: Apprenticeship Training (Not permanent employment)

Eligibility Criteria

Education: Graduate degree in any discipline.

Graduation Date Restriction: Must have passed on or after April 1, 2022 (Degree should not be older than 4 years).

Age Limit (as of April 1, 2026):

• Minimum Age: 20 Years
• Maximum Age: 28 Years (For General/EWS)

Note: Relaxation of Upper Age Limit is applicable For Reserved Categories

Monthly Stipend:

• Rural/Semi-Urban: ₹15,000
• Urban: ₹18,000
• Metro: ₹20,000

Apprenticeship Contract & Training Details:

Contract Process:

• Offer Method: Eligible candidates will receive engagement offers digitally through the designated apprenticeship portal.
• Acceptance: Candidates must accept the online offer within the stipulated date and time mentioned on the portal.
• Commencement: Training officially begins on the "Start Date" specified in the apprenticeship contract.

Training Duration & Nature:

• Duration: Exactly 1 year from the contract date.
• Scope: On-the-Job Training (OJT) covering banking practices, products, and processes.
• Employment Status: This is not permanent employment. Apprentices are prohibited from joining or forming any Union Body.

Assessment & Certification:

• Final Test: Apprentices must undergo an assessment test upon completing the training.
• Certification: Certificates will be awarded only to those who successfully pass the assessment.

Termination of Contract:

• Non-Reporting: The contract is terminated if the apprentice fails to report to the training venue or branch on the start date.
• Automatic Expiry: The contract ends automatically once the one-year period expires; no separate notice will be issued.
• Early Termination: Either the Bank or the Apprentice may apply to the Apprenticeship Advisor to terminate the contract early, providing clear reasons.
• Failure to Comply: The Apprenticeship Advisor may terminate the contract if either party fails to follow the agreed terms and conditions.
