ISRO ICRB is hiring Scientist/Engineer 'SC' in Electronics, Mechanical & Computer Science (176 posts)

Introduction:

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)/Department of Space Centres and Units are engaged in Research and Development activities in the realm of Space Application, Space Science and Technology for the benefit of society at large - serving the Nation by achieving self-reliance and developing the capacity to design and build Launch Vehicles and Communication/Remote Sensing Satellites, and thereafter launch them. Online applications are invited from meritorious graduates for the following vacancies of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Group 'A' Gazetted posts) in Level 10 of Pay Matrix at constituent ISRO Centres, and Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Group 'A' Non-Gazetted posts) in Level 10 of Pay Matrix at the Autonomous Body (PRL) under DOS.

Vacancy Details:

1. BE001 - Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Electronics): 99 vacancies. BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, min 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10

2. BE002 - Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Mechanical): 52 vacancies. BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, min 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10

3. BE003 - Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Computer Science): 21 vacancies. BE/B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering, min 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10

4. BE001A - Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Electronics) - PRL (Autonomous Body): 1 vacancy. Same qualification as above

5. BE002A - Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Mechanical) - PRL (Autonomous Body): 1 vacancy. Same qualification as above

6. BE003A - Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Computer Science) - PRL (Autonomous Body): 1 vacancy. Same qualification as above

Note: Notified vacancies are provisional; changes will be notified via corrigendum on www.isro.gov.in. Some vacancies are backlog vacancies.

Pay Level: Level 10 of Pay Matrix - Group 'A' Gazetted posts (constituent ISRO Centres)/Group 'A' Non-Gazetted (PRL, Autonomous Body)

Pay and Allowances:

• Minimum basic pay: ₹56,100/month (Level 10)
• Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance as per extant rules
• Covered under New Pension Scheme
• Medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidized canteen, limited housing (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc.

Age Limit:

• 28 years as on 16-09-2026 (Age relaxation for serving Central Govt civilian employees, Ex-servicemen, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) as per Govt of India orders)

PwBD Certificate:

• Candidates applying under PwBD reservation must submit a self-attested Disability Certificate (issued by a Medical Board with min. 3 members) at the time of interview, clearly showing disability percentage
• Minimum 40% relevant disability required for reservation eligibility

Application Fee Details:

• Non-refundable fee: ₹250 for all posts
• Initial processing fee (all candidates): ₹750

Refund of Application Fee:

• Full refund for exempted candidates (Women, SC/ST/PwBD, Ex-Servicemen)
• ₹500 refund (after deducting ₹250) for all other candidates
• Refund only for those who appear in Written Test/CBT
• Refund credited to bank account provided in application

• Number of vacancies is provisional; ISRO reserves right to increase/decrease as needed

• Posts are temporary but likely to continue
• Second-class train fare (shortest route) reimbursed for interview attendance only (not for written test)
• Original documents required at interview
• False information → disqualification from interview, no TA paid
