C-DAC Recruitment 2026: 59 Project Engineer Vacancies

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for 59 contract posts under Advt. No. CORP/JIT/03/2026-TVM. This includes 51 posts of Project Engineer (Fresher) and 8 posts of Senior Project Engineer. Positions are available in areas such as cyber security operations, embedded systems, FPGA, VLSI/IC design, medical imaging and mobile forensics.

Profile 1: Security Operations

Skill Sets:

• Knowledge of the network and security domain
• Knowledge and experience in operating Windows and Linux platforms
• Collaborative and team oriented
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP stack, SSL/TLS, IPSEC, SMTP/IMAP, FTP, HTTP, etc.)
• Understanding of operating system, web server, database and security device (firewall/NIDS/NIPS) logs and log formats
• Understanding of security threats (preferably OWASP Top 10), attack methods and the current threat environment
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing of web applications, mobile applications and network infrastructure
• Knowledge of security auditing methodologies and security testing concepts
• Knowledge of open-source VA/PT tools

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor security incidents in 24x7 rotational shifts (Thiruvananthapuram only)
• Detect incidents via the SIEM console, rules, reports and dashboards
• Raise incidents as tickets in the ticketing tool and handle them per each customer’s SLA
• Monitor SIEM console resources for anomalies
• Analyse and review logs and cyber event alerts
• Investigate suspicious security events, breaches and other cyber security incidents
• Recognize potential, successful and unsuccessful intrusion attempts by analysing event details and summaries
• Track incidents to closure per the defined SOPs
• Do first-level triage of events per SOPs, and automate analysis where possible
• Monitor SIEM tool health and raise incidents to the engineering team
• Assist L2 analysts in incident workflow when requested
• Proactively identify vulnerabilities in customer infrastructure and suggest SIEM use case updates to generate alerts
• Ensure confidentiality and protection of sensitive customer data

Profile 2: Medical Imaging

• Skill Sets: Algorithm development in C++/Python; image processing; image-guided surgery; Qt
• Job Role: Development of medical imaging applications

Profile 3: Electronics Hardware

• Skill Sets: Basic electrical engineering circuits; testing of circuits; use of measuring instruments
• Job Role: Design, assembly and testing of electronic circuits and power electronic hardware; firmware development; site trial activities

Profile 4: Verification

• Skill Sets: Knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog; electronic system design
• Job Role: Generation of Verification IP in SystemVerilog

Profile 5: FPGA

• Skill Sets:
  • Strong foundation in electronics and communications, especially digital electronics, FPGA-based systems and FPGA programming
  • HDL programming skills, preferably VHDL
• Job Role:
  • Development and testing of FPGA software

Profile 6: Embedded Systems

• Skill Sets:

Profile 7: Mobile Forensics

• Skill Sets:
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++ and C#

  • Knowledge of reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis of mobile applications and operating system source code

  • Research and development of forensic software solutions for smart devices
  • Implementation of innovative techniques for smart device forensic acquisition, data extraction, decoding and analysis
