Job Description:

Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is hiring Apprentice Trainees

Applications are invited from candidates for selection as Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act,1961 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), for filling up the remaining vacancies of the training year 2023-2024.

Duration of Training: 1 year from the date of joining

Stipend:

• Rs 9000/- per month for Graduate Apprentice
• Rs 8000/- per month for Technician Apprentice

Graduate Apprentice Disciplines & Positions:

1. Electronics Engineering: 21 positions
    
2. Mechanical Engineering: 15 positions
    
3. Metallurgy: 06 positions
    
4. Hotel Management/Catering Technology: 4 positions
    
5. General Stream (Non-Engineering) Graduates: 4 positions

Technician Apprentice Disciplines & Positions:

1. Mechanical Engineering: 30 Positions
    
2. Commercial Practice: 19 Positions

How to Apply:

Interested candidates may participate in the Selection Drive to be conducted at VSSC Thiruvananthapuram as per the following schedule:

• Date: 08.05.2024, Wednesday
   
• Time: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
  
  Venue:
  VSSC Guest House,ATF Area
  Veli, Near Veli Church
  Thiruvananthapuram District, Kerala

1. Applications will be received from the candidates only on the day of selection drive on 08.05.2024 as per the above-mentioned instructions.
   Applications will not be accepted through any other means.
    
2. Candidates have to register online in the Ministry of Education NATS 2.0 portal, through the website https://nats.education.gov.in/ , and bring the Registration No. and the printout while
   attending the Selection drive.
    
3. Candidates have to visit the VSSC pavilion on 08.05.2024 at the aforesaid venue along with ORIGINAL Documents and self-attested copies of B.E/B.Tech/BHM/Diploma Certificate (Provisional/Final), Consolidated Marklist, proof of date of birth (SSLC/SSC/AISSE/ICSE), Caste/Community certificate (if belongs to SC/ST), Non-Creamy layer certificate (if belongs to OBC), Income & Asset Certificate issued by Tahsildar in the format prescribed by Govt of India order, 2019 for the financial year 2024-25 (if belongs to EWS), Valid Disability certificate (if PWBD candidate), Experience Certificate (if any) and one passport size photograph. Formats of Non-Creamy layer certificate (for OBC) and Income & Asset Certificate (for EWS) are attached as Annexure 1 and Annexure 2 respectively.
    
4. Candidates will be provided Application forms for consideration of Apprenticeship after scrutiny of supporting documents with respect to educational qualifications and other claims.The duly filled form along with copies of certificates / testimonials to be handed over to VSSC officials at the time of Selection Drive.
