URSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply for 410 Graduate, Technician & Commercial Practice Apprenticeship Posts

U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Bengaluru, ISRO's leading centre for satellite technology, has released Advt. No. URSC:03:2026 dated 29.07.2026, inviting online applications for engaging 410 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (and Amendment Act, 1973) for the year 2026-27. The apprenticeship covers Graduate (B.E./B.Tech), Technician (Diploma), and Commercial Practice (Diploma) streams.

Total Vacancies: 410 (Graduate - 220, Technician - 120, Commercial Practice - 70)

URSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apprenticeship Details:

A. Graduate Apprenticeship (B.E./B.Tech) - Monthly Stipend: ₹12,300/-

1. Computer Science Engineering: 40 posts
2. Electronics and Communication Engineering: 83 posts
3. Mechanical Engineering: 50 posts
4. Chemical Engineering: 15 posts
5. Industrial Engineering and Management: 10 posts
6. Automobile Engineering: 2 posts
7. Aeronautical Engineering: 10 posts
8. Aerospace Engineering: 10 posts

Total Graduate Apprenticeship posts: 220 (SC-31, ST-14, OBC-59, EWS-22, UR-94)

Essential Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in the concerned discipline from any recognized University.

B. Technician Apprenticeship (Diploma) - Monthly Stipend: ₹10,900/-

1. Computer Science Engineering: 30 posts
2. Electronics Engineering: 38 posts
3. Mechanical Engineering: 30 posts
4. Electrical Engineering: 10 posts
5. Civil Engineering: 5 posts
6. Instrumentation Technology: 5 posts
7. Automobile Engineering: 2 posts

Total Technician Apprenticeship posts: 120 (SC-17, ST-8, OBC-30, EWS-12, UR-53)

Essential Qualification: Diploma in the respective discipline from a recognized State Board.

C. Apprenticeship for Commercial Practice - Monthly Stipend: ₹10,900/-

• Diploma in Commercial Practice: 70 posts

Total Commercial Practice Apprenticeship posts: 70 (SC-10, ST-4, OBC-18, EWS-7, UR-31)

Essential Qualification: Diploma in Commercial Practice from a recognized Board.

URSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Eligibility - Passing Year

• Only candidates who passed out during 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026 are eligible to undergo Apprenticeship.
• Candidates who passed the qualifying examination earlier than 2021 are not eligible.
• Only candidates who completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are eligible to apply.

• Note: Candidates must first register on the NATS portal, then apply through the UMANG portal by searching for "URSC Apprenticeship."

URSC Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Selection Procedure:

1. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their percentage in the respective discipline.
2. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
3. On successful document verification, a panel will be drawn based on academic scores in the Degree/Diploma.
4. Induction of apprentices against vacant posts will be made strictly based on panel position.
5. Selected candidates will be informed only via email.
6. Candidates shortlisted for document verification are not eligible for Travelling Allowance.

Terms & Conditions:

• Only Indian Nationals may apply.
• Candidates who have already completed or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961/1973, or who have one year or more of experience from any institution, or who have been terminated or resigned from Apprenticeship Training, are not eligible. Combining apprenticeship with other institutions is not permitted.
• Selected candidates must execute a contract of Apprenticeship training as per the Apprentices Act provisions.
• Training period: 12 months, commencing from the execution of the contract.
• Selected candidates must submit a Medical Certificate confirming fitness at the time of joining.
• Trainees will have no claim for employment at URSC, Bengaluru, or any other ISRO/Department of Space centre after completion of training.
• Shortlisting is based on the information furnished in the application; any discrepancy in name, age, or Diploma/Degree percentage or passing year at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature.
• Candidates must produce all relevant original documents (date of birth proof, mark sheets, testimonials, educational qualification certificates, etc.) at document verification, failing which they will not be considered.
• SC/ST/OBC candidates must produce a self-attested copy of a valid caste certificate (Government of India format) along with originals at document verification.
• Candidates must produce an income and assets certificate valid for 2025-2026 for EWS category, if applicable.
• PwBD candidates with 40% or more disability must produce a valid disability certificate and Unique Disability ID (UDID) card at document verification.
• In case of multiple/duplicate applications for the same discipline/trade, only the latest application will be considered.
• Candidates must make their own arrangements and bear all expenses for lodging and boarding during document verification.
• URSC reserves the right to cancel or alter the number of vacancies in a particular discipline/trade, or the entire engagement process, without assigning reasons.
• Candidates with sandwich course certificates, private college degrees, short-term/certificate courses, or those currently pursuing higher studies, are not acceptable.
• No interim correspondence will be entertained; canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
• At the time of joining, original certificates will be verified; any mismatch with the online application data will lead to summary rejection of candidature.
• In case of any ambiguity/dispute due to interpretation of the Hindi version of the notification, the English version will prevail.
