Job Description:

Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) is hiring Assistant & Junior Personal Assistant

Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), a premier Scientific & Research Institute and an Autonomous Unit under the Department of Space, Government of India, is looking for young, meritorious, dynamic and motivated candidates fulfilling eligibility conditions, for the following positions as detailed below:-

1. Assistant (Level 4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/-)

• Total: 10 vacancies

2.  Junior Personal Assistant (Level 4: ₹25,500 – ₹81,100/-)

• Total: 6 vacancies

Essential Qualifications:

• Graduation with minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale.
• Proficiency in the use of Computers.
• For Junior Personal Assistant: A minimum speed of 60 w.p.m. in English Stenography.

Mode of Selection:

• Written Test
• Skill Test (Computer Literacy and Stenography)

Age Limit:

• The age limit is 18 to 28 years as of 31st March 2024.
• For SC/ST candidates, the maximum age limit is 33 years.
• For OBC candidates, the maximum age limit is 31 years.
• The maximum age limit applies to posts reserved for these categories.

Application Fee:

• An application fee of ₹100/- will be charged.
• Initially, all applicants must pay ₹500/- as the application fee, including candidates belonging to fee-exempted categories (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ExS).
• However, candidates belonging to the fee exemption category (Women/SC/ST/PwBD/ExS) will be refunded the full application fee if they attend the written test. UR/EWS/OBC candidates will be refunded ₹400/- if they attend the written test.
• The application fee will not be refunded to candidates who fail to attend the written test.
• Candidates must provide correct bank account details with IFSC code to receive the refund while filling out the online application.
• All fee-exempted categories except women must upload relevant certificates (SC/ST/PwBD/ExS) to receive the refund.
• Candidates have the option to make the payment online using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, NEFT, or Wallet. Alternatively, they can choose the offline mode by generating a challan and visiting the nearest SBI Branch to make the payment. The last date for fee payment is 31.03.2024 for online modes, while for the challan mode, it will be extended until 02.04.2024.

Note:

• Candidates have the option to apply for both the posts, i.e., for Assistant and JPA, subject to certain conditions. In this case, candidates must submit separate applications for each post, one for the post of Assistant and another for JPA. Additionally, they must pay the application fee separately for each post. The written and skill tests for both posts will be conducted separately.
