Job Description:

Kerala Government Service is hiring Sub Inspector of Police (Trainee).

  (i) Category No. 669/2022 : Open Market

 (ii) Category No. 670/2022 : From among the Graduate Ministerial staff of Police and Vigilance Department,           Fingerprint Experts, Fingerprint Searchers of the Fingerprint Bureau who had completed two years of service in Police/Vigilance Department

(iii) Category No.671/2022 : From among the Graduate Police Constables,Head            Constables and officers of corresponding rank in Police and Vigilance Department.

6. Age Limit:

  Category – i (Open Market) – 20-31 : Only candidates born between 02.01.1991 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included).

Category – ii (Ministerial) – Should not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as on

01.01.2022.

Category – iii (Constabulary) – Should not have completed 36 (Thirty six) years of age as

on 01.01.2022

7. Qualifications :

(a) Educational Qualification : Graduation

Only in the absence of sufficient number of qualified SC/ST candidates, applications of SC/ST candidates who have passed Intermediate/Pre University Examinations of recognised University shall be considered to fill up the quota reserved for them under Category (i) (As per G.O(Ms)No. 239/Home dated 04.05.1961)

(b) Physical Qualification:

Should be Physically fit. Candidates should possess minimum physical standards.

(c) Both the male and the female candidates must be certified to possess the visual standards specified below without glasses

(d) Candidates should produce a medical certificate in original at the time of Certificate Verification in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eyesight without glasses obtained from a Medical Officer not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon. for more details click the below link.

(e) Military Training, Membership of NCC, Sports, etc. will be considered as additional

qualification.

(f) In addition to the qualification prescribed above every candidate will be subjected to a Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Measurement of the candidates will be taken at thetime of Physical Efficiency Test and those who do not possess the prescribed Physical Measurements will not be admitted for the Physical Efficiency Test.

(g) Physical Efficiency Test for Male Candidates Male candidates must qualify in any of the five events out of the eight specified below in the National Physical Efficiency Test of One Star Standard (as per G.O.(Ms) No.104/88/Home dated 20.08.1988)

(h) Physical Efficiency Test for Female Candidates

Female candidates should qualify in any five events out of the eight specified below in 

the National Physical Efficiency Test of One Star Standard. (As per G.O.(P) No. 

65/2009/Home dated 25.05.2009)
