Job Description:

Kannur International Airport is hiring Junior Operator (Fire)

No. of Vacancies: 18

Remuneration (Consolidated): ₹25,000/- per month

Upper Age Limit (As on 30/04/2025): Maximum 24 years

• 3 years relaxation for BTC/equivalent ICAO courses qualified candidates
• 5 years relaxation for candidates from Evictee Category and Ex-servicemen

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum Qualification: 12th Pass with 50% marks or equivalent grade
• For House Evictee Candidates: Only a pass mark is required

Desirable Qualification:

• Basic Training Certificate or equivalent certificate based on ICAO syllabus in Airport Fire Fighting

Driving License Requirement

• Valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) License
• Must obtain Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) License within one year of appointment

Physical Fitness Requirements

Height:

• General: Not less than 167 cm
• Evictee Category: Not less than 165 cm
• Female Candidates: Not less than 162 cm

Chest (Male):

• Normal: 81 cm
• Expansion: Minimum 5 cm

Weight:

• Male: Not less than 55 kg
• Female: Not less than 45 kg

Vision:

• Distance: 6/6 in both eyes without glasses
• Near: N-5 in both eyes without glasses (each eye individually)
• Colour Vision: Normal (Ishihara’s Charts)

Hearing and Speech: Normal

Disqualification Criteria:

• Physical deformity
• Chronic diseases
• Colour blindness
• Night blindness
• Squint eye
• Flat foot
• Bow legs
• Knocking knee
• Refractive error
• History of major operation impairing fitness for fire service
• Inability to undergo prolonged physical strain
