The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), through the ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB), has released Advertisement No. ISRO:ICRB:01(A-JPA):2026 dated 27-07-2026, inviting online applications for the recruitment of Assistants, Junior Personal Assistants (JPA), Upper Division Clerks (UDC), and Stenographers.

Educational Qualification:

For Assistant/Upper Division Clerk (Post No. 1, 3 & 5):

• Graduation with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognised university, completed within the stipulated duration of the course
• Proficiency in the use of computers

For Junior Personal Assistant/Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4 & 6):

• Graduation with minimum 60% marks/CGPA 6.32 (as above), OR Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks/CGPA 6.32, plus one year of experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer
• Minimum speed of 60 words per minute in English Stenography
• Proficiency in the use of computers

Note: For DCP/DCCP diploma holders, the BOAT Apprenticeship Training Certificate under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme will be considered equivalent to one year of Steno-Typist/Stenographer experience.

CGPA/Percentage Rule: Where a university mentions both CGPA and percentage, at least one must meet ISRO's eligibility norm. Where only CGPA is mentioned, that CGPA itself must meet the criteria - conversion of CGPA to percentage is not permitted for determining eligibility, even if the university prescribes a conversion formula. The same applies in reverse. Separate rules apply for dual/integrated degree programmes (detailed in the official notification).

Age Limit (as on 16.08.2026):

• UR/EWS: 28 years maximum (born on or after 17.08.1998)
• OBC: 31 years maximum (born on or after 17.08.1995)
• SC/ST: 33 years maximum (born on or after 17.08.1993)
• Age relaxation is also applicable to serving government employees, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, meritorious sportspersons, and widows/divorced/judicially separated women who have not remarried, as per Government of India orders

• Minimum basic pay: ₹25,500 per month (Level 4, Pay Matrix)
• Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Transport Allowance as per Central Government rules
• Coverage under the New Pension Scheme
• Additional benefits: medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited housing (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Group Insurance, House Building Advance

• Assistant/UDC only: ₹500 processing fee; ₹100 retained, balance refunded only if candidate appears for written test/CBT
• JPA/Stenographer only: ₹500 processing fee; same refund rule as above
• Both post groups combined: ₹1000 processing fee; same refund rule as above
• Women/SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-servicemen: Full fee refunded (subject to appearing in written test/CBT)
• Mode of Payment: Online only, via Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway - Internet Banking, UPI, or Domestic Debit Cards. Cash, cheque, DD, money order, and IPO are not accepted
• Refunds are credited to the bank account details provided by the candidate in the application
