• Essential: M.E./M.Tech. in Semiconductor Technology, Quantum, Micro/Nano Electronics, RF & Microwave or related disciplines. 

Post Code 02 - Junior Research Fellow

• Essential: M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication, Micro/Nano Electronics, Digital Electronics, VLSI, Digital System Engineering, Embedded System, Signal Processing, Semiconductor or related disciplines. 

Post Code 03 - Junior Research Fellow

• Essential: B.E./B.Tech. in Engineering Physics OR M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics, Photonics, Optoelectronics, Optics, Material Science, Nanotechnology, Solid State Physics or related disciplines. 

Post Code 04 - Junior Research Fellow

• Essential: M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. in Atmospheric Sciences, Meteorology, Physical Oceanography, Oceanography, Physical Sciences, Physics, Applied Physics, Mathematics or related disciplines.

Common Requirement: M.E./M.Tech. - minimum 60%; M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. - minimum 65%. JRF Post Codes 01-07 require CSIR-UGC NET, GATE or an eligible national-level examination.

Salary Details

1. Research Associate - 3: ₹67,000/month + HRA
2. Research Associate - 2: ₹61,000/month + HRA
3. Research Associate - 1: ₹58,000/month + HRA
4. Project Scientist-I: ₹56,000/month + HRA
5. Junior Research Fellow - Subsequent Years: ₹42,000/month + HRA
6. Junior Research Fellow - 1st & 2nd Year: ₹37,000/month + HRA

Additional benefits include HRA at prescribed rates where hostel accommodation is not provided, medical benefits for self, and leave/other benefits as per applicable Department of Space/Government of India rules. Selected candidates will not receive benefits applicable to regular employees.

Job Location: SAC, Ahmedabad; project work may require working at locations anywhere in India 

Age Limit

Post Codes 01-07 - JRF: Maximum 28 years as on 30 September 2026.

Post Codes 08-16 - RA/Project Scientist-I: Maximum 35 years as on 30 September 2026.

• SC/ST: 5 years upper-age relaxation.
• OBC-NCL: 3 years upper-age relaxation.
