IREL Chavara is hiring Apprentices & General Executive Graduates

IREL (India) Limited, Chavara invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the engagement of 72 Trade/Technician/Graduate Apprentices & General Executive Graduates under the Apprentices Act, 1961. However, the total number of apprentices may vary according to company requirements.

General Conditions

• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 25 years as on the last date of application. (Relaxation of Age Limit For Reserved Categories).

• Candidates should carefully read the advertisement for eligibility criteria before applying.

• Candidates with qualifications acquired through Distance Learning, Part-Time, or Correspondence Mode will not be considered.

• Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act are NOT eligible.

• Stipend will be as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.

• Candidates can apply for only one trade.

• Applications with false/incomplete information will be rejected.

Selection Process

• Selection is based on merit list considering marks in the specified qualification.

• In case of tie, higher marks will be considered; if still tied, seniority by date of birth will be used.

• Priority will be given to:

  1. Land Affected Category (Certificate required)

  2. Candidates from Mining area and villages within 10 Km of IREL Chavara (Proof required)

  3. Wards of serving employees/Forum members

  4. Residents of Kollam District (Proof required)

  5. Residents of Kerala (Proof required)

  6. Others

• Candidates will be called for document verification and must submit original certificates.

• Selected candidates will undergo medical examination by the company’s authorized Medical Officer.

• Apprentices must provide a Police Verification Certificate before joining.

• A contract will be executed as per the Apprentices Act, 1961.

Note:

• The candidates have to apply for the respective apprenticeship through establishment registration No. E08153200007. However submitting the hardcopy of application is a must for screening/selection.

• The application should be submitted in the proforma given in the advertisement as in Annexure A. preferably type written on A4 size paper.

• The outer cover should be superscribed "APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICE AGAINST NOTIFICATION NO. IREL (India) Limited/Chavara/Apprentices Engagement/2025-26 dated 13-03-2025".

• Attach self-attested copies of:

  • 10th/Matriculation certificate (Proof of Date of Birth)

  • 10+2/HSC Mark sheet

  • Caste/EWS/PWD Certificate (if applicable)

  • Semester/Year-wise mark sheets & Pass Certificate

  • Nativity Certificate

  • Aadhaar Card

  • Police Verification Certificate (before joining)
