Job Description:

EY is hiring Associate Analyst 

Designation: Associate Analyst/Analyst - Independence - Risk Management Services

Location: Kochi

Key Responsibilities:

1. Understanding of Business Concepts

  • Develop working knowledge of firm-level business relationships and procurement concepts.

2. Policy Compliance

  • Perform work procedures as outlined in EYG business relationship Independence and procurement policies.

3. Research and Analysis

  • Conduct secondary research to gather required vendor information (e.g., ownership, affiliations, financials).
  • Gain hands-on experience in research and analysis for different risk management review submissions.

4. Tool and Database Updates

  • Make updates to various EY tools and databases after review by project managers.

5. Support to Client Teams

  • Assist client-serving/audit teams in mitigating business relationship-related risks.

6. Consulting Support

  • Provide process and tool-related consulting support to EY professionals.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinate with various risk management departments such as:

  • Independence
  • Anti-Bribery
  • Supplier Assurance
  • Legal
  • Supply Chain Services
  • Support in obtaining necessary approvals.

8. Communication

  • Communicate with project managers and audit/pursuit team members to complete required procedures.

Technical Expertise:

  • Build good understanding and ability to interpret Vendor’s company structure, affiliations, ownership, and relationships in accordance with audit client and affiliate definition as per EYG Independence and Global Procurement policies. 

  • Perform secondary research and analysis on third parties’ financials, ownership and affiliations after gathering required information, to determine the permissibility of the business relationships

  • Actively participate in knowledge calibration sessions by asking relevant questions and highlight any process understanding gaps timely. 

  • Learn and become proficient in internal process and tools to provide consultative support to EY professionals

  • Perform reconciliation, research, and draft recommendations for review by project managers as part of the procedures

  • Understand and work towards meeting and exceeding the defined individual KPIs for the role. 

  • Maintain a proactive approach to follow-ups, ensuring all approvals are obtained and projects reach successful closure

  • Compile and submit detailed research reports, ensuring they meet the standards for review and approval.

Eligibility:

  • Education: Graduate/post-graduate
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience

Certification Requirements: Any relevant Risk Management related certifications will be an added advantage

Shifts: Flexibility to work in rotational shifts

Technologies and Tools:

  • Experience in MS office suites like Microsoft 365, MS excel, PowerPoint
