Job Description:

The Directorate of Tourism, Government of Kerala, through the Centre for Management Development (CMD), Thiruvananthapuram, has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for the post of Green Marshal. A total of 162 vacancies are available across all 14 districts of Kerala, for engagement on a daily wage basis for a period of one year. Selected candidates will be deployed at various tourist destinations across the state to support the Directorate's Green Protocol and sustainable tourism initiatives.

Qualification: SSLC Pass

Age Limit: 20 - 45 years (as on 01.09.2026)

Remuneration: ₹810 per day

District Choice: One district (candidate must indicate preference)

Kerala Green Marshal Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility & Selection:

• Shortlisting is district-wise, based on percentage of marks in SSLC/equivalent examination
• Final selection based on interview/proficiency assessment conducted by the Directorate of Tourism
• Candidates can select only one district; considered only against vacancies in that district
• Tie-breaker 1: Preference for local residents (with valid proof)
• Tie-breaker 2: If still tied, older candidate (by date of birth) ranks higher
• Selected candidates may be deployed at any destination within the chosen district, and can be redeployed to any district in Kerala based on operational needs

Terms of Engagement:

• Daily wage of ₹810, paid on actual attendance basis
• Purely temporary engagement - no claim to regular appointment or absorption
• Physical fitness required; medical certificate may be sought
• Merit = (Marks Obtained ÷ Maximum Marks) × 100, system-calculated and verified against originals
