ODEPC, A Government of Kerala Undertaking invites application from eligible candidates for the post of English Teachers to general secondary education organizations under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The successful applicants will teach a diverse range of students (secondary/high school students) in secondary public schools.

Responsibilities:

* Teaching maximum 24 hours per week together with co-teacher

* Cooperating with a co-teacher on planning and preparing the necessary resources for the lesson

* Assessing and providing students with appropriate feedback and support

* Helping students achieve educational standards

* Organizing clubs and extra-curricular activities

* Tracking students’ progress at the end of each term

* Conducting workshops for local EFL teachers

 Qualifications:

* Has at least a bachelor’s degree in one of the fields of linguistics (linguistics), applied linguistics, foreign language education (English as a Second Language/English as a Foreign language, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, etc.)

* Or has one of the following diplomas/licenses/certificates providing the right to teach in English as a Foreign language/English as a Second Language: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages Certification (TESOL), Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults(CELTA), Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA), Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification (TEFL), Trinity CertTESOL Certificate, Cambridge CELTA Certificate, PTE Academic Teacher Certificate, The Oxford Teacher Training Program (OTTP), Edexcel Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DipTESOL);

* Minimum 1 year of experience in teaching English at the secondary/high school level

* Experience of living/teaching abroad is highly desirable

* Language level required: CEFR C1 Level
