A Reputed Firm in Kuwait is hiring Accounting Finance Officer

Location: Kuwait

Position Overview:

The Accounting Finance Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial activities of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective budget management. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

2. Budget Management:

• Develop and monitor budgets, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for significant deviations.
• Assist in the preparation of long-term financial forecasts.

3. General Ledger Management:

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.

4. Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

5. Financial Analysis:

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by management.

6. Cash Flow Management:

• Monitor and manage the organization’s cash flow to ensure liquidity.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify potential funding requirements.
• Optimize the use of financial resources.

7. System and Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the accounting and finance functions.
• Implement best practices and streamline financial operations to enhance efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting software and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
